About Bayfield

Bayfield is a part of the La Plata County area of Colorado known for its green mountains and red deserts. Major attractions include hiking, mountain biking and boating. Each year in the summer season there is the 4th of July Celebration. Among the biggest employers in Bayfield are Mercy Hospital and the Sky Ute Casino. The biggest schools here are Bayfield School and Fort Lewis College. One of the best things to do when you are in Bayfield is to slow down and enjoy the small town charm.
