Not reliable
There is no way to rate Kane's product or performance. He was nice enough when consulting on our job, provided a bid, said he put us on his schedule, but then no contact after we hired him. After several messages he finally called and left voicemail asking for a return call and was supposedly available the remainder of the day. I called back immediately but never heard from him again. Very disappointing, especially since a friend recommended him. Our job has already been done by another contractor.... more

I just received my horse a few hours ago who was shipped from Delaware to Fort Collins, Colorado. They gave us plenty of warning for when they were going to pick him up and called us when they were about ten hours from drop off and another call when they were an hour out. My horse stepped of the trailer perky and in great condition for being shipped across the country for 3 days! All 13 horses on the rig looked happy and healthy with hay nets and water in front of them each. The driver was very friendly and kind to the horses! I would defiantly recommend this company!... more

Negligent and Unaccountable
I've had two bad experiences with Nationwide and will never use them nor recommend them again. The first was a horse that was shipping from WA to Colorado. The truck picked up the horse two days late, and the trip took two days longer than they had quoted. The horse arrived having lost weight and dehydrated. I was constantly having to call to try to find out the status of the truck, as the communication from the driver was EXTREMELY poor. The second incident was regarding a driver who ran into our entry gate and destroyed our semi-truck's engine. We have large semi-trucks come in and out on a regular basis, and our driveway is built to accomodate such. After unloading, he decided that our semi was in the way and without asking, he started it up. He didn't realize it had been drained of oil and was under repair at the time. He then lied and said I had said he could move it. Over $15,000 in damages on that delivery and the owner was rude and terrible to try to work with.... more

Negligent, Unresponsive
I hired NWHT to transport 2 mares from MA to CO - 2100 miles. Their website says they provide direct routings and travel an average of 850 miles/day. They did not take a direct route and it took 4 full days which would would be an average of 500 miles/day. The horses arrived severely dehydrated - their urine was brown - and one of them lost 100+ lbs. They failed to contact me during the trip to let me know they were not drinking or eating or to discuss what options there were for addressing the problem. I sent electrolyte paste with them, but the driver said "oh, I don't think we'll need that". When I contacted the owner after the trip, she said she needed a couple of days to review the logs and that her goal was to "formulate the trip into something you can understand". I will never understand negligence. She still has not responded. They say their "drivers are first and foremost horsemen/women who care about horses." Letting a horse get extremely dehydrated is not what i call caring... more
