About Rifle

Rifle is lcoated in Garfield County, Colorado on the Colorado River at the base of the Roan Cliffs. Rifle is known as a center of the cattle ranching industry and also as a regional destination for outdoor sports and activites. Oil and gas drilling are also a large industry here and the Campaign to Save Roan Plateau is currently trying to minimize damage to the Roan Plateau from these activities. The Shelton Drilling Corporation is large company in Rifle as is Yenter Companies, Inc. The largest school in Rifle is Rifle High School. Attractions include Rifle Mountain Park, Centennial Park, and the Roan Plateau.
