Westport is a town located in the state of Connecticut and it is a part of the Fairfield County. The town is one of the richest towns of the state and it is known for the very high per capita income. The major attractions of the town are the natural beaches, artist colony and Westport Public Library. The town lies in the Southwestern Region of USA and it is surrounded by the famous towns on three sides, whereas the fourth side is covered by the Long Island estuary of the Atlantic Ocean. The town is connected to the major cities of the state through railroad and the roadways. Historically, the town has remained an important part of the history of the state. The war memorials, museums and the honorary statues of the war heroes are the historical attractions of the city. Westport Magazine and WestportNow are the biggest companies based in Westport. The Art and Theater Culture is very popular in the town and there are many stage and theater groups based in the town. Westport Country Playhouse is the most popular theater in the town. One of the best places worth visiting in the town are Music Theatre of Connecticut and Westport's Compo Beach. The biggest schools operating in the city are Coleytown Elementary School and King's Highway Elementary School. The famous persons belonging to the Westport Town are Paul Newman and Gene Tierney. The town is full of wonderful living artists and fun vital people who add so much to the town through their philanthropy and just by being here to celebrate all that our town has to offer.
