The Florida Law stipulates that the Notary should not receive any benefits or be attached in any way with the document he or she is notarizing. Please contact the National Notary Association or Tallahassee in this regard and they should be able to answer this properly. Make sure you let them know the content of the paper you are notarizing.

Depends on the local municipality. Minor repairs usually do not require a permit. For example, if you are sealing cracked tiles, replacing a few shingles, or sealing an area with roofing compound such as Black Roof patching cement or Liquid Nails roof repair. However, if the repair requires that you remove a majority of roof covering, or any of the roof sheathing, you may need (& will likely WANT) to pull a permit.
