Martial Arts does have the potential to keep you in shape, however, as The Black Belt Academy pointed out, you need to look at each particular style and instructor.

When you first start out to learn about martial arts all the unfamiliar names can really be confusing. We've all been there! So if it is fitness you are primarily seeking, perhaps you should look at the student body that composes the school you are trying a class at, instead of worrying about which style it is that you will be learning. For instance my school, Modern Warrior focuses more on real world self defense, and thus the population of our school ranges all the way up to senior citizen, with students of varying fitness levels, because fitness while important, is not our main focus. However if I were seeking a school that is fitness focused, I would expect to see many toned participants.

That is a difficult question for me to answer, because I love to eat..I am an international food connoisseur, who enjoys trying new culinary delights. If I had to choose today, which cuisine I prefer; I would select Cuban. The Tropical Breeze Cafe on 7th St. in Dade City serves excellent authentic Cuban food at reasonable prices.
