About Glen Saint Mary

The town of Glen Saint Mary, named for the nearby Saint Marys River, is located in Baker County, Florida, in the Jacksonville metro area. The earliest known inhabitants of the town were the Timucuan Indians. The town is home to Celebration Park, which features a large gazebo and large shady trees and is often used for special events. One of the best places to visit when you are in Glen Saint Mary is nearby Olustee Battlefield State Monument, located on the southern edge of Osceola National Forest and the site of the 1864 Civil War battle in which three African-American units fought as part of the Union Army.
