Hair growth is not dependent on what gender you are. It is fact that men's scalps are not as strong as women's so men's hair will not grow as easily. Scalp hair tends to grow at an average of 0.4 millimeters per day (about 1/2 inch per month). However, hair will grow quicker depending on your family genetics as well. It has been said that certain types of foods will cause your hair to grow faster.

Companies have applications for a reason. They want the truth. In all truth though, depending on the company size and how well known they are, it really changes the possibility on whether they will check or not. It also depends on the question too. If you lie about a past job, then yeah you'll get caught. If you stretch the truth about your experiences/skills, they won't know this for sure. You need to be able to back it up though. I'd suggest just not lying at all. But it's up to you and how bad you want the job.
