When Can Motor Scooters Go on the Road?
When can a person legally drive a motor scooter on a public roadway? Is there a certain age or a certain motor scooter that is required?

Florida laws concerning mopeds and scooters are confusing at best, and often interpreted improperly by law enforcement personnel. The simplest answer is probably that a licensed driver may operate a properly registered and tagged street legal scooter with a displacement of less than 50 cc upon Florida roadways. Above 50 cc and or with a manual shift, will require a motorcycle endorsement to your drivers license in addition to a license plate. Helmet use is a whole seperate issue. Lousy customer service
This company stood me up twice, did not call me to verify that I was in the area when they supposedly were at my house to deliver an appliance. They did not leave a note as required by Depot Direct that they had been there. Due to their lousy service, unresponsive drivers I cancelled my order of an oven from Home Depot and went and purchased it from Lowes who does their own delivery locally. Do not purchase anything from GE or Home Depot if they use this company in the Ocala and Gainesville area... more
