NO REFUND
We stayed at this place for long term stay because of work in the area. They told me it was close to where I was going to be working. Well, it turned out to be about 45 minutes on the best route and about 25 on the worst. Also, I paid a month in advance and when I left early (18 days early for the month paid) they refused to give me any refund. They said they did not have to because of their policy! NICE PEOPLE! The cabin was nice,if you like staying in an ice box! When it got cold outside it was cold in the cabin. It did not have a fireplace in it just a blow heater that was on all the time! There were also bugs in the cabin and I found that they had laid eggs in my personal stuff in the bathroom when I went to use it! The people seem all nice at first, but when you want a refund they get mean! Make sure you get something in writing with them it you are leaving early. We lost about $700.00 because of "their policy" Will NEVER recommened this place to anyone!!!... more

Scenic View Log Cabin Rentals
Awful Experience
We booked a reservation at these cabins. Unfortunately we had to cancel. I called to cancel 5 weeks prior to our trip and left a message with all of my contact information, the dates etc. (They never answer the phone) We were charged a 250.00 cancellation fee for not cancelling our reservation. When I called to correct the mistake I was told they had no record of my call. I sent them copies of my cell bill showing the phone call. They claim that doesn't prove anything and they will not refund my money. I have asked for the management to contact me to no avail. If this is the kind of customer service they provide I would never stay at their facility.... more

Creative Needle magazine - 1980s - can I get in contact w/Ann??
Stop bashing Ann Henderson, Creative Needle was a great magazine while it lasted!! The 1980s-1990s magazine of Creative Needle had some really cute photos, including little boys wearing longalls, overalls, or jon jons with T-strap Mary Janes or English sandal double buckle shoes. She and her husband did a good job with the magazine in the 1980s and 1990s and even 2000s. Do you think that Ann enjoyed seeing her magazine company go bankrupt?? Now, I'm finding myself wanting to find her so I can talk to her about if she can help me with some old photos of little boys wearing T-strap shoes. I think it's very ADORABLE how people in the South like Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina dress up little boys for church etc in longalls/jon jons and T-strap shoes. I happen to be planning to write a book on the history of T-strap shoes and English sandals and I am going to concentrate 75% on boys. Do you know a way I can get hold of Ann or Don?
