Snellville is located in Gwinnett County, Georgia. It is just east of Atlanta. The city's slogan is "Everybody is PROUD to be somebody in Snellville".

The population of the city is around 19,056 people with an average household income of about $68,000.

Major attractions include the Snellville Days Festival, Snellville Farmers' Market, Snellville Fall Festival, Snellville Tree Lighting, The New London Theatre, Gwinnett Ballet Theatre and Summit Chase Country Club. The annual "Run the Reagan" event attracts some 3,500 fitness enthusiasts to Snellville for fun and to raise funds for the Gwinnett Community Clinic.

Snellville is also home to T.W. Briscoe Park and Lenora Park. Emory Eastside Medical Center is the hospital in Snellville. Famous people from Snellville include Jason Elam and Diana Degarmo.

In 2011, the City of Snellville began a collaborative effort with the Gwinnett Municipal Association's "CAN Do" campaign. Citizens and visitors to Snellville are encouraged to donate items for the food bank at events in the city this year, making it easy for you to donate to the food bank at the same time you enjoy an event in downtown Snellville.
