Aurelia is a city in Cherokee County of Iowa. The city is named after Aurelia Blair. Her father, John Blair, was an early settler of this city. Major attractions include Aurelia Country Club, Aurelia Golf Club Inc, Larson Lake, Aurelia Shelter House, Farmers Co-op Elevator, and Aurelia Public Library. The city hosts local music festivals. Among the biggest companies in Aurelia are Aurelia Lumber Company, and Michael Blake. The biggest school here is the Aurelia Community School. One of the best places to visit when you are in Aurelia is the Aurelia Park or the Silver Sioux Recreation Area.
