About Davenport

Davenport is the largest city in Scott County of Iowa and is located along the Mississippi river. It is the only city where the river flows from east to west and hence the sun’s rays always keep shining on the city like a blessing. Every year the city hosts many entertainment events. Some of them are Valley blues festival, Mississippi Valley Fair and one of the most important events Bix Beiderbecke Memorial Jazz festival after the famous jazz musician. The city is very famous for its river music at River Center/Adler theatre. Gaming, Quad City Air shows, Theatre, symphony, historic river boat cruises and Vander Veer Park are some of the very interesting things to do or visit for tourists. The Famous Figgie Art museum of Davenport is a major attraction for art collectors.
