The village of Caledonia is located in Boone County, Illinois, in the Rockford metro area. Major attractions within minutes of Caledonia include the Angel Museum, which exhibits thousands of angels from the Berg Angel Collection and the Black Angel Collection donated by Oprah Winfrey and the Midway Village & Museum Center, a recreation of a standard rural community in the late 1800s and with seven exhibition galleries and 26 buildings with historical themes. One of the best places to visit when you are in Caledonia is nearby, 3,092-acre Rock Cut State Park, with two lakes and activities such as swimming, fishing, boating, camping, hiking and horseback riding.
