Crystal Lake is a part of the McHenry County of Illinois known for its being the biggest city in the county and Dole families involvement in the city. Major attractions include Dole Mansion and Lakeside Center. Each year the hottest month is July, when the average is 86 degrees. Among the biggest companies in Crystal Lake are The American Terra Cotta Tile and Ceramic Company just north of the city. The biggest schools here are McHenry County College and Lundahl. One of the best places to visit when you are in Crystal Lake is Crystal Lake Park District.
