New Owners...Better find New Customers
. I have been to this gyro place with my Husband many times throughout the years about once a week. He and I were in there tonight and there was a man behind the register taking orders and it seemed like he got confused, so i witnessed him asking one of the staff for help, she turned to help him to help and was very patient BUT once it seemed like he was "done" he kind of "shooed" her away like a fly. He did NOT say thank you or even seemed friendly. Then a little while later, he got on his phone and was speaking very Loudly in what seemed to be his native tongue. He seemed angry and irritated and it made me feel uneasy and my Husband say that this look's like trouble. We left and we are not sure if we will be back as much. I actually am very surprised that such a change seemed to have taken place!!??? This was such a Friendly and Welcoming Business... it's almost sad.... more

NOT ANYMORE!
I have spent my money at Athens for over 10 years at the various locations. The location at Glenwood had become my favorite! NOT ANYMORE...as I eating some man that I did not recognize came to my table, interrupted my conversation with my Daughter and asked "How is Everything?" He had a certain odor to him and it was unappealing. He seemed nervous and kind of strange and it made both my Daughter and I uncomfortable. Then as I was trying to leave he rushed over to shove a menu into my hands... I didn't want to be rude so I took it although I have so many val-pak coupons that I love to use as well as a few menu's already that come with to go orders. I almost feel bad about writing this and before this time always loved to eat their with my Family. BUT.. my guess is he couldn't be just a staff there (whom always gives us great service) He must be an Owner and a new one at that! I am completely disappointed and will give more thought as to where I eat next time.... more

Good company. Pretty consistent lanes. Good about getting you home on the weekend... and sometimes during the week. Pretty good miles. Just depends on the railyards, but that's typical. No Qualcom, but make you call Dispatch a lot. ...overall pretty good company... more
