I've been a provider for 11 years. I am not bonded. If you are concerned over theft and damages then by all means require it. However the average provider doesnt get paid much and bonding can be expensive. Prior recommendations and duration at their jobs is a good sign as a representative or employer. But in the end its a personal choice but expect to pay for it on the other end.

Home Care Assistance is Great! I loved that I could trust them with my mother. They were always there on time if not 5 minutes early. Excellent company. We needed help for my elderly mother. She needs help with daily living tasks, e.g., bathing, dressing, cooking and getting around. The people at Home Care Assistance of Chicago were wonderful. Their caregiver was well-trained and very helpful. They didn't just sit and watch TV with our mother like some other agencies we had before. They got her walking, chatting and even reading. We went from using daily/hourly service to live-in help very quickly given how good they were. I highly recommend their service.... more
