New Lenox is located in Will County,Illinois.Until October 4,1946, New Lenox was not officially a township. As of 2002, the city had a population of around 18,000 people. By the year 2030, the Northern Illinois Planning Commission expects the population to rise to around 90,000. New Lenox covers just over 10 square miles. Almost all of it is land. The city has an average household income of about $67,700. Less than 2% of the residents of New Lenox are living below the poverty level. The students in the city attend the New Lenox School District 122.
