Completely unimpressed
I am getting married at the IL Beach Resort & Conference Center and for their April wedding tasting event, Memory Makers was used as their preferred vendor for deejay. While the deejay himself seemed pleasant, the music he played was horrible. The music consisted of crappy 80s/90s pop songs (Phil Collins and Celine Dion--I'm not kidding) and tons of horrible country songs. I did not hear a single song from the last decade. My fiance and I found it difficult to sit through the event and listen to such lousy music. The purpose of the event was to book clients and unfortunately, we decided to use anyone but Memory Makers after enduring 2 hours of some of the worst songs ever.... more

Philo Tavern
SCARY
Being new to Philo I often drive through and smell the wonderful smells coming from the Philo Tavern. Being recently divorced, my employment quest led me to wonder if the hubbub of Philo could use some extra hands. I called and got a very scary, manly sounding woman who I asked if they were hiring. Her response was "I DON'T KNOW AND IT'S LUNCHTIME I GOT TO GO!!" and SLAM went the phone in my ear!! If that's the kind of people I would be working with, then no thank you and if that's the kind of people that would be serving me, then no thank you to that either. What rude employees they must have to treat me like that! Please do yourself a favor and do not go anywhere near that hostile facility.... more
