About Wood River

Wood River is a part of the Madison County region/metro area of Illinois. As of the 2000 census, the city had a population of 11, 296 and it has a land area of 6.1 square miles. Wood River is often known for its history with the Lewis & Clark Expedition where it is regarded as the starting point. Years later, Wood River greatly expanded with the arrival of Standard Oil and was officially incorporated as a city in 1908. Businesses in Wood River include Kienstar-illinois, Llc, Mers, Inc., and the Ytb Travel Network of Illinois Inc. The Olin Corporation in the nearby town of East Alton also acts as a major employer to the Wood River Community.

I believe parallel importers primarily deal in import models, which would not involve any Ford products that I am aware of. In the US, these are called grey market cars and alot of times the warranty will vary or may not apply at all. I would always recommend dealing with a dealer in the US no matter if it is a Ford or any other product. That way you have protections you would not have otherwise.
