Yes, the internet is wonderful. Yes, it is worth promoting on the internet using a myriad of resources. But please don't be fooled that it is the only way to go. It is hard to imagine that 80% of the people use the internet everytime they need to find a local business when less than 80% of the US population has access to the internet. Besides, I promise that you can find local businesses and their competition easier and quicker than Google. The first page of Google is for the most part given to those that are the highest bidders which may or may not contain businesses that you are even looking for. Have you ever clicked on a link and then get Redirected to a site that is completely unrelated or uniformative. Just knowing the alphabet will guarantee results for all of your local businesses. And if you are turning on your computer and going to google.com while using a dial up modem then you are probably the same person that goes to town to fill up your car with gas so you can drive to your neighbors.
