The town of Hamlet, named not for its size but for its founder, John Hamlet, is located in Starke County, Indiana. Major attractions within minutes of Hamlet include the 2.5 acre Copshaholm House Museum & Historic Oliver Gardens, where you'll find a garden tea house, a formal Italianate garden, a pergola, a tennis lawn and fountain and the College Football Hall of Fame, whose exhibits include a theater and the hall of champions. Each year in August, the Hamlet Rendezvous is held here. One of the best places to visit when you are in Hamlet is the nearby, Potato Creek State Park, with a bike trail, boating, camping, fishing, hiking, a nature center and swimming.
