loving care 4 my pups

We have 2 dogs, 1 boarded short & long stays over the 6+yrs,2nd joined our family 6 months ago & stayed 2x. She's friendly & caring w/my pets She does the care herself instead of kennels I've gone to where they have many "helpers" who don't have the same commitment & its "just another bowl to fill but neglect attention to the pet." We can opt to bring our OWN food, bed, toys, & my 2 can stay in together or apart, but still have outside playtime together. Its VERY clean too.She has a regular routine, but recognizes her boarders are house pets & rotates bringing them to lay on a rug while she's in her grooming/office area My dogs come home happy & actually eat there when they refused at other kennels.She's strict (AS SHE SHOULD BE) RE:shot papers & drop-off/pick-up times, but when we called w/an emergency she worked w/us. She DOES NOT take debit/credit cards, so make sure you've got cash/checkbook w/you.Haven't used grooming yet-book early tho she's busy.HIGH MARKS ON ALL AREAS!!;)... more

Alpaca Stud Service- AFR's Spain

Spain impressed us so much when we bred Psyche to him, that when the chance to add him to our herdsire lineup came up, we jumped on it! He has an awesome fleece that is dense, dense, dense! He has crimp and nice brightness and handle as well. Just having a nice fleece isn't enough for us when it comes to a herdsire though. Spain has the pedigree to insure that those great qualities aren't there by accident! You will be hard pressed to find a more completely impressive line of ancestors! With Accoyo legends like Caligula, Victor, Sara, and Vengador in his genes, then throw in some Hemingway to boot...you see his quality is truly meant to be. Spain has cria expected for 2011 and is interested in meeting your girls! We are offering Spain for an intro rate of $1,000. Quite a bargain for this fine young man!

Alpaca Stud Service- The Vic Jrs Ghana

Vic Jr offspring are used in some of the most prestigious programs in the country. Ghana's sire offers genetic abilities that are priceless! Ghana's dam is half sister to the awesome Super Sam in Canada through their grandsire Javier. Javier and his offspring like Super Sam are producing show stopping (and WINNING!!) alpacas in Canada for High Plains Alpacas. There aren't many offspring available in the USA and we are honored to have one of the few! Ghana is a fantastic blend of these fabulous genes! He is a big fawn male with a proud and macho presence. His fiber is still crimpy and fine with awesome density. Ghana has a couple cria expected for 2011...stay tuned!!! We have an introductory rate of $1,000 for stud service to Ghana. Stud service to Vic Jr. sons usually range between $2,000-$4,000!!!

Alpaca Stud Service- Candalero

Candalero is a blue ribbon winner for his gorgeous fleece ( at 4 years old! ) and his fleece is always quick to sell. His fleece is fine as he ages, even at 10 years old it makes silky soft yarn! Candalero also has a rare trait called soft rolling skin which is only found in extremely dense animals. I will never forget the day when I first met Candy and I went to feel his fleece and couldn't hardly get my fingers into it! His fleece was the first "berber carpet" fleece I had ever experienced! You will want this quality in YOUR herd! FIBER + COLOR + QUALITY GENETICS = CANDALERO!

Alpaca Stud Service- Porterbray's Chino

Chino's dense fiber is cobweb fine with an unbelievable micron count of 14.4 (YES, I REALLY said 14.4!!!) and a CF of 100% and this is all from his second shearing at over 1 and a half years old! He has coverage from his toes up to that cute fuzzy face and also has nice vicuna style crimp all the way up into his top knot and his fiber even has great bundling! Just when you think his fiber can't get much better...it DOES! Part his fleece and you can see wonderful brightness which helps add to his very luxurious feel. Chino is "refining" our fleeces with his exceptional vicuna style fineness! He is throwing phenotype in addition to the wonderful fiber to give you ADORABLE AND fine cria! Chino's cria are rich with beautiful color, with cria from light fawn to brown, maroon, to even silver grey! No matter the color, he is stamping all of his cria with crimpy, fine and bright fiber! Chino is the hidden treasure here at Alagaesia! We wouldn't give him up for the world but are willing to share these awesome qualities with you and your herd.

HomeSpun Alpaca Yarns

We offer a wide array of natural colors as well as some dyed colors in our HomeSpun yarns. We also offer to spin custom yarns made to your specs.! Most of the fiber that is used is Baby Alpaca but Royal Baby Alpaca is sometimes available and most is grown right here at our farm. Also available are various colors of Icelandic that can be blended with the alpaca. this is especially nice for felting projects!
