Burns Home Improvements
Do Not Hire Burns Home Improvements near Wichita
I hired Burns Home Improvements to renovate a condominium. Burns was to prepare and paint walls, texture ceilings and do a number of other items. Burns insisted I use Harry Street Carpet to subcontract installation of new laminate floors throughout and ceramic tile floor in the full bath. Burns did not prepare the walls for painting. The living room ceiling had to be redone because it was patched and cracked. The work was shoddy and unfinished. Teresa over-charged and kept adding charges above the agreed upon price. She came back several times, but it is impossible to fix poorly done work. She wears you out. I had to borrow more money to redo the work. All laminate flooring Harry Street Carpet installed had to be replaced. Like Burns, Harry Street insulted and blamed me for unprofessional installation work and used delaying tactics to make me believe they might redo the work. I lost $7,318.27 to a contractor who ignores the contract, overcharges and does poor work.... more

Poor Service for a high price
SKT is expensive, higher than anybody else that offeres high speed internet in our area (which i would have checked around more committing to them). We have constant outages for no reason at all and for $85 a month, I would like to think they have better service to offer but they don't. I miss Cox Communications out here...people think they are expensive but trust me, compared to SKT, Cox is a bargain.... more
