About Matfield Green

Matfield Green is a city in Chase County, Kansas. Matfield Green has two ranches on the National Register of Historic Places; Crocker Ranch and Pioneer Bluffs Ranch. Pioneer Bluffs is an early twentieth century ranch, consisting of one dozen vintage farm buildings. Matfield Green is located in the beautiful Flint Hills area. This area is known as Bluestem Pastures or Blue Stem Hills. They are a band of hills in eastern Kansas stretching into north-central Oklahoma, extending from Marshall County in the north to Cowley County, Kansas and Osage County, Oklahoma in the south.
