About Beattyville

Beattyville is a city located in Lee County, Kentucky. It is also the county seat. Students here attend the Lee County School System which includes the Lee County Area Technology Center and the Lee County Alternative Education School. Other schools in the area include Beattyville Christian Academy and Grace Baptist Academy. Among Beattyville's biggest employers are Lee Adjustment Center, Three Forks Regional Jail, Lion Apparel, Inc., Affiliated Computer Systems, Lee County Public Schools, Lee County Wood Products and the Kentucky River Community Care Facility. The city is also home to the Woolly Worm Festival which is includes three days of musical performances, vendors, food, helicopter tours, and the Woolly Worm Festival.
