About Benton
The city of Benton is located in Marshall County, Kentucky in the in the Jackson Purchase region. Each year in August, the Marshall County Fair is held in Benton and on the fourth Sunday in May, the musical event, The Big Singing, is held. On the first Monday in April, Benton hosts the Tater Day festival. One of the best places to visit when you are in Benton is the Museum of the American Quilter's Society, located about 30 minutes away. About 20 minutes away, visit Kenlake State Resort Park, where you'll find camping grounds, a marina, playgrounds, picnic areas, trails and places for fishing, swimming, golf and tennis.

The concern of pet urine is penetration. Prefinished hardwood flooring is not sealed at the joints, thus allowing water or urine to seep into the cracks. But, hardwood floors that are sanded and finished, even though at first are completely sealed, also receive cracking in the finish at the joints due to movements of the house and flooring.
Alot of prefinished hardwood now has a coating of Aluminum-Oxide. This is very strong, and resists scratching (something to consider from pets nails).
I've seen a beautiful Austalian Cyprus ruined by the nails of a large dog. Maybe if the customer had picked a denser floor they may have been able to avoid that damage.
