My answer is simple, follow your instincts! If it looks, smells, acts wrong, then it is wrong. Look for certifications on the wall. Look for customer satisfaction letters. Look at cleanleness. How is the person treating you? Would your vehicle be treated the same way? How do they guaranty the work? Ask for references.
