Should shampoo be used everyday?

Should hair be washed with shampoo everyday? What are some shampoos that are appropriate for oily hair? Thanks.

You should not wash your hair daily. Most shampoo contain SLS or sulfates. Sulfates are detergent and degreasers. These are the same chemicals for pressure washing the house or concrete. Raw ingredients like coconut oil that is saponified with others oils such as shea butter, olive oil and castor can clean the hair wonderfully. These also make your color last longer and imparts a wonderful shine. Use organic shampoo like African Black Soap other natural soap. You won't get the lather like commerical shampoo, but that's not what cleans the hair. It's the surface agents that creates the lather and this is not good for your hair.
