HORRIBLE Experience
Picerne's "24 emergency maintenance" is nothing more than a number to call to complain about maintenance that is needed. If you were to call at 3 AM and tell then that your toilet is overflowing and flooding the bathroom. No one will come to your house until about 9 AM. Living at Picerne Military Housing, we have needed alot of repairs because the homes are cheap and poorly made- even the renovated ones. I used to believe that that handymen were available to help us whenever we called, but to our surprise, like i said it is nothing more than a hotline where you can complain and someone will tell you that "no one is available right now, but we will send someone first thing in the morning"... more

DO NOT CHOOSE PICERNE (part 2)
therefore you wouldnt even think that they had the nerve to pull up the carpet and look there.. she doesnt own a dog and definitely doesnt urinate on the floor so the urine stains was from the previous tenant.. to make this even better picerne stamps there logo on the back of the carpet WITH A SIGNATURE so that you cant repair the carpet yourself so that you would have to pay $700 so that Picerne can "repair" it. I call BULL it doesn't not cost $700 to re-carpet the first floor of a house that is NO BIGGER than 10x10.. Then comes the backyard.. a backyard that is so small it should not be considered a yard.. more like a patch of grass.. they tried to charge her $650 to repair it because grass is missing in certain areas (its the middle of FREAKIN' winter and we just had a snow-storm!!) she demanded to see an itemized list (always demand an itemized list!!! they will try to tell you that they "don't do itemized lists" but finally she got one.. and MAGICALLY it went from $650 to $230!!... more

DO NOT CHOOSE PICERNE (part 1)
Warning: This is a very detailed review! I chose to live in on-post housing because it was close to work and living in Maryland I did not want to be stuck in traffic going home every night- big mistake. I moved into a a "renovated" 2 BR house in Midway commons and at first the house seemed decent (very small, but its just me and my husband) then you start noticing small problems :leaking fridge, broken garbage disposal, a faucet that sprayed water at us every time we turned it on, dishwasher broke after a week, paint stains on concrete in the yard (will explain why this is so significant later). And many other little problems.. I had a friend who just moved out of picerne housing and they gaev her the hardest time. they pulled up the carpeting and found urine stains on the padding under the carpet and they are charging her $700 to recarpet the WHOLE first floor.. funny thing is that when you move in they don't pull up that carpet to show you that its clean (cont. in part 2)... more
