About Mount Savage

Mount Savage is an unincorporated community in Allegany County, Maryland of United States. A small blue-collar community, Mount Savage lies at the base of Big Savage Mountain in the Allegheny Mountains, between the cities of Frostburg and Cumberland. Major attractions include Thrasher Carriage & Sleigh Museum, Dante's, Frostburg Palace Theatre and Frostburg Museum. Among the biggest companies in Mount Savage are The Castle Bed and Breakfast and Barrelville Outdoor Club. The biggest schools here are Mount Savage Middle School and Mount Savage Elementary School. One of the best places to visit when you are in Mount Savage is Frostburg Lion's Park.
