Salisbury or New Sarum is a city in the County of Wiltshire in England. The city is best known for its unique geographical location. The city is located at the confluence of five historical rivers of England. The Salisbury and South Wiltshire Museum, which was built in the 13th Century is the most famous place in the city. The museum has many galleries that highlight the art and culture of the old ages. Other major attractions of the town are Great West Front of Salisbury Cathedral and the 15th century Poultry Cross. The Salisbury Playhouse organizes art exhibitions and at least eight plays every year. The International Arts Festival is held every year in May that attracts theater lovers and art critics to the city from every corner of the state and country. The Salisbury District Hospital and Friends Provident are the major employers of the city. The city has a network of railroad and roadways that connect it to the other parts of the County and make it accessible at any time from any part of the country.
