The village of Emmett, named after Robert Emmett, an Irish patriot, is located in Saint Clair County, Michigan, in the Detroit metro area. Major attractions include Emmett KOA and within minutes away, the Port Huron Museum, with exhibits that include a pioneer log home and the Huron Lightship. Some of the businesses in Emmett are Rotten Apple Recordings and Emmett's Main Street Diner. The school Early Discovery-Farrell Elementary is located here. One of the best places to visit when you are in Emmett is the nearby, 4,461-acre Stony Creek Metropark, with snowboard, sled and toboggan hills, a nature center, special events, boating, fishing, swimming, cross-country skiing, snowshoe trails, a mountain bike skills course, a disc-golf course, an 18-hole golf course, baseball diamonds, playgrounds, soccer fields, volleyball and basketball courts and picnic areas.
