Why would one need a real estate attorney at closing?

What are some necessary features on a camera?

Different cameras come with so many different options that it is hard for an amateur photographer to figure them all out. In terms of digital cameras, what features are really necessary?

Ethridge Photography image Answered by Ethridge Photography

I teach digital photography classes at a local college and would encourage you to enroll in a class if they are offered in your area. There are far too many functions and settings to really give you the answer that you're asking for. Exposure settings, white balance, flash settings, aperture, shutter speeds, ISO, and much more await the novice photographer. It may seem overwhelming but it is well worth learning if you're an avid beginner. Camera makers want people to believe that photography is easy. In some ways (like pointing and shooting) it is. The other 95% of photography takes some practice and learning. Good luck!

Deceptive Advertising - Beware

I called this number to get some advertising info. What I got was a boiler room operation telling me that they can get me $20 per hour and sometimes up to $300 a day just to be an movie extra.. I've been in show business over 35 years and this is an outright lie ! No one pays $20 an hour for an extra. NO ONE ! Think about it. The average extra day is 8 to 10 hours . That comes out to about $200 a day …. $1000 a week. FOR AN EXTRA!!! They also offer to put your photo portfolio on the internet for $1.98 . . . . . All you have to do is GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER !!! If giving your credit card number to a stranger who’s phone number can be traced to a boiler room operation (allegedly operating from a single family residence on Meadowbrook Drive in Freeland, Michigan), sounds like a smart thing to do just ahead and call them.... you deserve to get scammed. This is a nationwide scam outfit that advertises on Craigs list in every market in the country.BEWARE!!!... more

Fishy at best !

A call to the listed number found it to be a "casting agency" offering unheard of salaries if I would register with them as a motion picture extra. I was told I could make from $20 an hour up to $300 a day as an extra. if I paid $1.95 WITH MY CREDIT CARD.. I can tell you, as a member of Screen Actors Guild for over 30 years that no extras make that kind of money anywhere. It seems like all they are trying to get is a credit card number. What gives with this outfit? I checked and that nu;mber, along with a few more, are registered to a private home on Meadowbrook Drive in Freeland. I have a lot more about this company that seem,s awfully fishy. Stay away from them.... more

My Experience at Bayne Apple Valley Farm

I'm not here to vilify or castigate this owner or her business, but only to share my experience. Me and a friend visited this store to partake in some fall activities. After just a few minutes, we notice the police following us around the store...after making several purchases we got in our car to leave only to have the police stop us and ask for IDs. One officer told us the store owner, Pattie Bayne, called to report 2 "suspicious looking" black guys in her store. The officer checked our ID. Finding nothing of course, he let us go and said the owner was paranoid for calling in the first place. I've made several attempts to get an apology from this owner and she has refused to apologize. THEREFORE, I recently started LEGAL action against her. It is PAST time for her to own up to what she did. If there's been anyone else with similar exp. please leave a post and I or my attorney will contact you.... more

Totally Outrageous Prices and for Owner is very RUDE!

I have been going to this store all my life to find out nothing is made there. They say they have apple orchards on the other side of the state. This is false and they are traveled in and then transferred to their boxes. The owner was rude with his manners moving people by physically shoving them. I called around for prices and just thought I would see what it would cost. Well not to no surprise they were really expensive! $7.25/Doz for donuts!!! WOW! I know things have gone up but by calling around there are many places still charging 5-6.50/doz. Baynes has survived by location only. If you don't care about prices or bugs and customer service this is your place! Happy Fall Everyone!... more
