About Gould City

Gould City is a civil township of Mackinac County in the U.S. state of Michigan. Major attractions include Manistique School & Public Library and Holiday Inn Express. It was founded in 1886 by Sam Stiles, a grocer and lumberman, who named it for another lumberman. Among the biggest companies in Gould City are Bowman Gas Co., and Red Barn Land Company Inc. One of the best places to visit when you are in Gould City is Indian Lake State Park. Famous persons from Gould City include Jennifer Granholm.
