Leaky water heater drain valve
How does one fix a leaky water heater drain valve?

Most tank type heaters have a 3/4" ips threaded drain valve. A replacement can be purchased from most hardware stores. Turn the power off to the heater, turn thew water off to the heater, open a hot tap in the home to relieve the pressure. If you are mechanically inclined you could prep the new valve, unscrew the old valve ( ritty tity, lefty lucy) and calmly but quickly thread in the new drain valve. If You aren't confident, drain the heater and then change the valve. Should the valve break off you will need a tool to remove the threads in the tank. Please be careful, some heaters are simple to do this with others can take a pro some time to complete.

Poor service
Bought a riding mower 5/2011 from home depot. Aug 15 blade cable broke. Called Home depot they said call this number. They didn't show the day they said they would pick up. No call from them I had to call them. They did pick up the next day. Guy said I should have it back in a week or two at most. Didn't here anything from them almost two weeks. Called they said Jr would call back never did I made over six call to them all I ever got was Jr will call me back, never did. Now three weeks into this for only a cable. I had to call Home Depot because they sent me there. The Store asst mgr called them and Jr promised to call me back. never did. But five days later they call and said The wer bring my mower back. I think if H.D. didn't get involved I wouldn't have got it back yet. Never send anything to them.You will be sorry. Bob... more
