McCormick Park is located on the Red Cedar River in downtown Williamston. It is currently undergoing a major park renovation which will include new trails, a canoe launch, new restrooms and a concession stand next to the band shell. There are two large play structures for children. In addition there are numbers chain saw carvings throughout the park.
In nearby Meridian Township, there are numberous parks, including Legg Park, Meridian Road Park, Williamstown Twp. Park to name a few. They are all located on the Red Cedar River and have hiking/cross country skiing trails. In addition there are soccer fields, a nature center and a sledding hill. www.meridian.mi.us
