Is it required that the mother of the bride give a wedding shower gift to her daughter? If so, can it be a small gift and and an expensive gift? What do you suggest?

It is not required, but I think it would be disappointing and frowned upon if the mother did not.
It would absolutely be okay to give a small gift and an expensive gift. The gift itself is totally up to you. However, I would suggest a more personal item being one of the gifts.

I just bought a 2 # package of the Black Forest Ham. I couldn't wait to get home and try a piece. It was so good, after I got my groceries put away, I had to go back to the store and get another package. While there, I seen there were packages of Roast Beef so I bought a package of that too. First thing I did when I got home, I had a piece of the roast beef. It is so good! I am sold on it and will be buying it from now on when I see it in the stores. KEEP IT COMING!... more

Very nice people to deal with.
The employees went out of their way to get me the scooter that I was looking at. They sent me emails & pictures and the price was right, and they do deal on cycles. The owner took his time and showed me all around the facility, and explained different parts and cycles. It was very interesting. I will be back for another machine soon.... more

I have called a half dozen times. They always say they will call back later in the day or early the next day to tell me whether they have the part. You'd think they could at least call the same day. Only once did they call back at all, and then it was to quote me a very poor price.
