Rushmore is a city located in Nobles county with a population of 376 people. The city of Rushmore is located on Buffalo Ridge which is a drainage for the Mississippi and Missouri River. The station house located in the city was called Miller Station, in honor of the city's ex-governor Stephen Miller. For two years the station had no inhabitants.
