Margaret: I have worked as a volunteer at St. Stephens Shelter for 18 years and homelessness and affordable housing are at the top of my list. I read your article about tents in the Strib. I was disappointed as I know many of the people, who attends the Occupy MN are huge advocates for affordable housing and helping to end homelessness. I think your article applies to only a few people who wanted tents, many of us march in the Homeless Memorial, I run food to homeless people in a truck -Mobile Loaves and Fishes- so do a lot of people in the OM movement. I would think there are a lot of other atrocities to homeless we could find to broadcast. I really hate to have anyone who is a 65 year old supporter of your cause to be saying it would be "wow, I got arrested". Maybe you should come down and meet with the OM people , explain what you do, THEY want to help the poor. The issue should not be about tents, NO we should not have them, but don't knock your supporters!... more

hate the services
The staffs there are great and hard workers. They don't deserve to work more than they should be. The nurse and the managers there aren't so good the way they run this place. I can hear them talking about staffs and it's just so unprofessional. I wander if they do the same for my dad that is living there? This is considered a HIPAA and I will report this if I ever see that again. 2 stars for the workers and none for the place. Not a good place to put your family there. Also the foods are horrible. I go there almost everyday and it's always the same and never fresh! We pay so much for this place and had the highest package cost.... more
