Need to better manage the customer relationship
By the Woods did a moderately large landscaping job for me last summer. The work was two months late in getting completed. Phone calls and e-mails were rarely answered or responded to. Promises were repeatedly made about timing and work to be done which rarely happened as described. Some delays are understandable, but these need to be communicated effectively. The final bill came three months after work was completed. A tree that was trimmed later developed cankers and an invasive fungus and will probably have to be cut down. Much of the landscaping job did end up looking good after it was done, but dealing with the customer service end of things was a real trial. I have a friend who used this company and she has experienced many of the same things. Nice people, but they need to improve the crispness of their customer service.... more

I've known the guys for years. Nobody is perfect but they've always done right by me. I would recommend them to anyone. I think Fritz is full of it. If they are so bad why would he have years of experience dealing with them? I know if I have a bad experience somewhere I don't go back for several years. I smell a scam!!... more
