What are some ways that businesses can work with other local businesses to promote community involvement in their work?
Cross-advertise. Many businesses will exchange advertising. We do this with local and non local.
One of the ways we do this is that we provide a 'customer packet' to all new customers and prospects. In this customer packet or welcome packet is a welcome letter, our services, our committment to our clients, and so on. We have our business card in this packet and we are working with other businesses and placing their card or flyer in the packet and in exchange it can be returned.
I would suggest you go to a local company, tell them you want to sponsor them in your packet, advertisnig, website anything, just be creative. Mention that you want to keep local money local, and you feel other local businesses should support one another. Restaurants and Schools really had the idea when they placed businesses on their placemat and their bookcovers. Reach out and remember the sky is the limit. Get creative.
What options does a college student have for obtaining health insurance?
Usually schools demand that they student have some type of insurance while in school. If the student does not have their own insurance, the university will provide some type of policy for the student to purchase through the school.. defer you specific questions to the school admissions office yourself.
