About Miles City

Miles City is a part of Custer County and is the county seat. The city is known for its Western history. Major attractions include the Range Riders Museum and the Custer County Art Center. Each year in May, the biggest event of the year, the Miles City Bucking Horse Sale, is held. In August, residents and visitors come together for the Eastern Montana Fair. Among the biggest companies in Miles City are the Holy Rosary Hospital and Mile High Kennel Club, Inc. The biggest schools here are Custer County District High School and Garfield School. One of the best places to visit when you are in Miles City is the Airport Inn. Bring the kids, they will enjoy the free ice cream just for them! A famous person from Miles City is Violet Beuregarde from the 1971 film Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory lives here with her family. Notable microbiologist Maurice Hilleman, who developed more than three dozen vaccines, was born in Miles City.

Can stucco be applied over wood siding or must the siding be removed first?

You can apply stucco over wood siding, but first you need to install wire lath over the siding. You will need the lath that is backed with tar paper, once this is done you can proceed to install the stucco in (3) coats, scratch, brown and then finish.
