Volborg is a part of Custer County in Montana, standing approximately 41 miles south of Miles City. A true country town if ever there was one, Volborg is represented by a handful of buildings, including a post office, country store, and the outhouses which accompany its businesses. Ranching is the primary industry in Volborg, with L Bar W Ranch and Beaver Slide Ranch being just two of several ranches which exist within the city limits. The biggest schools here are the South Stacey and Foster Creek Schools, with nearby University of Montana providing education on the collegiate level. One of the best places to visit when you are in Volborg is the Broadus Visitor Information Center.
