About Albion

Albion is known as "The Gateway to the Sandhills." It lies in Beaver Valley in central Nebraska. Albion is known as a clean and safe community that is ideal for raising a family. The town boasts several attractions. Residents can enjoy stock car races every Friday night from May to October at the Boone County Raceway located on the Boone County Fairgrounds. One can also enjoy a movie Friday through Sunday at the Gateway Theatre, with indoor seating for 250. The Boone County Museum and nearby Olson Nature Preserve are also two unique places to visit. Albion also hosts many events throughout the year. The town always has a fireworks display around the 4th of July. The Rhythm and Ribs BBQ Competition is held in August. Businesses in Albion include the Dunes Motel and Cedar Valley Lumber. Students in Albion attend the Boone Central Public Schools.
