About Hastings

Hastings is located in Adams County, Nebraska and known for its Fisher Fountain, the largest water fountain between Chicago and Denver, and the World War II Ammunitions Depot, the largest naval munitions plant in the U.S. Major attractions include the Aquacourt Water Park and the Hastings Museum of Natural and Cultural History. Each year in the summer season the town hosts Kool-Aid Days, which was invented in Hastings by Edwin Perkins in 1927. Well-known companies in Hastings are Hastings Honda and the Real Estate Group of Hastings. The biggest schools here are Hasting College, Central Community College and Hastings High School. Some of the best places to visit when you are in Hastings include the Pioneer Spirit Trail, the Nebraska Softball Hall of Fame and the Children's Museum of Central Nebraska.
