I'm assuming you're referring to checking the temperature on a CPU in a computer system. Some older systems don't have a temperature monitor built-in. But if yours is new enough, you can access the hardware information through the BIOS at boot-up. As this access varies between manufacturers I can't get too specific here, but generally a function key or delete key will get you into the BIOS setup where you can review temperature information on those systems so equipped.
