About Swanzey

Swanzey is part of the southwestern region of New Hampshire known for its covered bridges and beautiful scenery along the Ashuelot River. Major attractions include the West Swanzey Covered Bridge and the Swanzey Historical Museum. Each year during the month of July, Swanzey hosts the "Old Home Day" festival and parade, which features organized recreational activities including a bike tour of the town's covered bridges, live music and a flea market. Among the biggest companies in Swanzey are All-Med Inc. and Emptor Marketing. The biggest schools here are Manadnock Regional High School and Cutler Elementary School. One of the best places to visit when you are in Swanzey is Mt. Caesar. Famous Persons from Swanzey include playwright and actor Denman Thompson.
