About Hightstown
Hightstown is a Borough in Mercer County, New Jersey. As of the 2000 census the population of Hightstown was 5,216. Hightstown was incorporated by an act of the New Jersey Legislature in 1853. Every year the borough puts on their Summer Concert Series, a musical celebration that runs from June through July. Also, in September, the borough puts on its annual Hightsttown Spirit Triathalon, an event which draws athletes from around the world. There are many historic buildings in Hightstown, each of which is preserved with the effort of Hightstown-East Windsor Historical Society. The biggest schools here are Hightstown High School and the Walter C Black School. Princeton University is 9 miles away in Princeton, New Jersey.
