About Manahawkin

Manahawkin, New Jersey, is located on the Atlantic Ocean waterfront, half way between Cape May and Sandy Hook. It is off the Garden State Parkway, exit 63. Easy access to anywhere along the Atlantic ocean's coast, or any town north or south in New Jersey. It is south of Sleaside Park, north ofMystic Island and close to Atlantic City. The nearest airport is the Atlantic City International Airport, and the local hotel, is the Holiday Inn Manahawkin/Long Beach Island. The Manahawkin Beach Bridge takes you to Long Beach Island, and is very easy to find (route 72 E). There are endless activities, from the Manahawkin Beach to the Manahawkin theaters. Part of the story of the Shipwreck of Powhatan takes place in Manahawkin. Over 300 persons were washed up on shore. Captain Jennings, who tried to help, was from Manahawkin. A beautiful part of NJ
